How can we guarantee the quality of molds and punch pin?

After the products are manufactured in the workshop, they will not be directly sent to the warehouse for packaging and delivery. Instead, they will undergo strict inspection first.

For common molds, we first inspect the inner cavity. This inspection ensures the finished products meet your required dimensional standards. Standard plug gauges are used for this process. Normally, one mold is tested with plug gauges of at least 2 different size of plug guages, and sometimes more.

   

For some complex and special molds, we adopt tin alloy inspection: melt the tin alloy, pour it into the mold, take it out after solidification, and measure the dimensions to guarantee product precision.

Besides, the outer size of the mold is also critical. If the dimension exceeds the tolerance range excessively, the mold cannot be installed on the cold heading machine properly. Therefore, we also inspect the outer frame dimensions and make timely corrections if any defects are found.

As for punch pins, we routinely check their OD, length, the size of the head, and use a profilometer to measure relevant angles. In addition, if customers have special hardness requirements, we will use professional equipment to conduct hardness testing. All these procedures ensure every product fully complies with its design drawings.

If customers purchase a complete set of molds from us, we will perform a 1:1 matching test on front punch pins, rear punch pins and their corresponding molds, to ensure the punch pins can smoothly enter the mold and eject workpieces.
